The Better Menopause is empowering women in midlife through science-backed products, inspired by our community’s needs
Meet the founders
Joanna Lyall
Joanna Lyall
Founder Jo Lyall has spent the last 25 years working her way up through various notable CEO roles, often the only female voice around the table. In 2003, she set out to reinvent herself and completed a 3 year qualification in nutritional therapy. Keen to scratch her entrepreneurial itch, Jo later established her own nutrition clinic to support women, particularly through stress and reproductive health. Pursuing her passion alongside her corporate career brought balance and purpose. Fast forward 20 years, Jo is mother to two boys and hits perimenopause. In pursuit of her next reinvention, The Better Menopause is born - to transform the narrative around midlife from one of weakness, to one of strength and empowerment.
Meet Debbie & Anna
Meet Debbie & Anna
The Better Menopause’s lead investors Debbie Wosskow and Anna Jones, previously co-founders of AllBright, are on a mission to support women in living a better life.
Having exited AllBright in late 2022, they committed their next chapter to the 3 pillars of diversity, health and emotional wellbeing. Menopause quickly became top of the agenda. Like many issues related to women’s health, menopause is a minefield to navigate… who to see, what to take and how to talk about it. Debbie and Anna, armed with their network of women and scientific experts, set out to find answers. They quickly uncovered the cutting edge research surrounding the importance of gut health balance for women at this critical stage of their lives. Together, they married Jo’s expertise with their collaborative, community-orientated approach… and our flagship product, The Better Gut, was born.
